SOME NEW UPDATE ABOUT CALL OF DUTY.

What’s Going On Lately

  1. Decoupling Older Titles from the HQ Launcher
Players of Modern Warfare II (2022) and Modern Warfare III (2023) will notice a change: these games are being removed from the Call of Duty HQ launcher and turned into standalone downloads. TechRadar+1
The idea seems to be freeing up space, simplifying things, and perhaps lessening the launcher’s “bloat.” It’s a move many welcome, especially for those with limited storage.
  2. Season 05 in Warzone is Bringing Big Security Upgrades
In Warzone’s Season 5 patch, Activision is rolling out TPM 2.0 and Secure Boot requirements (on PCs) in phases. Call of Duty
These are hardware/firmware features that help ensure the system boots only trusted software and has not been tampered with — a push to make cheating/hacking harder. Call of Duty
  3. Battle Pass & New Rewards
As usual, a new Battle Pass arrives with lots of goodies: base weapons, new Operators, Skins, Blueprints, finishing moves, etc. Call of Duty+2Call of Duty+2
Some rewards are free, others require “premium” purchase — so if you want everything, you’ll need to invest a bit. Call of Duty+1
  4. Maps, Modes, and Gameplay Tweaks
    • New maps are coming in Black Ops 6 + Warzone Season 4: for multiplayer, there are maps like Shutdown, Fugitive (6v6 maps), Blitz Strike.
    • Modes are being adjusted: for example, the classic One in the Chamber is coming back
    • In Warzone, the Clash mode returns, which is a large-scale TDM (Team Death Match) style fight with 52 v 52 players. No circle collapse (battle royale style) in that mode.
    • Some quality-of-life user interface tweaks: showing both current weapon level and max level in more places, adjusting visuals for friendly field upgrade indicators, etc.
  5. Zombies / Black Ops 6 Updates
The Zombies side of things is also getting love. Grief Mode returns in Season 4, with new Arenas, GobbleGums (those powerups in Zombies mode), and new explosive modifications.
Also, there are support weapons and other features to spice up the undead experience.
  6. New Game Coming: Black Ops 7
At Gamescom 2025, Black Ops 7 was shown more clearly: big features, prominent actors in the campaign, and a new PvE mode called Endgame.
It’s set in the year 2035 (a future setting), and release is expected around November 14, 2025.
